Training in Spanish for cyber security pros

Sponsored Post Cybercrime is a global phenomenon, but the effectiveness of measures put in place to fight it varies considerably from one region to another.

In a recent analysis covering Latin America the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) notes that serious attacks continue to ravage the area, including last year’s ransomware attacks on Costa Rica which crippled the country’s medical, government, and commercial systems. According to the CFR, if Latin America is to effectively ramp up cybersecurity countermeasures, the region needs to deal “with structural challenges and will also require a better understanding of the threat landscape”.

SANS Institute aims to host an event specifically tailored for infosec professionals that are native Spanish-speaking, with the objective of providing a comprehensive set of skills and abilities to fight the cybersecurity threat landscape in the region. Delegates attending between Monday 6 November and Saturday 11 November 2023 will be taught in Spanish by native Spanish speaking instructors. This special training event will be taking place online and is time zone friendly to all the Americas, making it easier for infosec professionals that speak Spanish, and live in the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, and all countries from the continent to attend. The event features practical cyber security training taught by real-world practitioners, augmented by hands-on practical sessions conducted in specially created safe virtual labs. Interactive, immersion-style training will be available live online.
